Spend the day celebrating Lexington-style barbecue in historic Uptown Lexington. The festival stretches along Main Street and adjoining streets between 4th Street and 5th Avenue. Admission is free. Exhibits open at 8:30 AM, the opening ceremony begins at 9:00 AM, and barbecue tents open at 10:00 AM. The festival closes at 5:30 PM, followed by a finale concert from 5:30–8:00 PM at the Breeden Insurance Amphitheater on East 3rd Avenue. This is a celebration of Lexington-style barbecue, not a cooking competition. Check the organizer’s website for parking, activities, and updates.
